About
Welcome to The Internet Watchdog.
My name is Mike Wendland. I’ve spent the better part of four decades exposing crime, corruption, fraud and plenty of corrupt politicians and businessmen.
I’m a journalist by training and I’ve worked for some of the biggest media outfits in the US. My stories have appeared in the nation’s leading newspapers, from the New York Times to USA Today to The Detroit Free Press to the Miami Herald and dozens of others. Besides crime and consumer protection reports, I’ve specialized in technology journalism and my TV reports have aired weekly nationwide on NBC-TV stations, as well as regularly appearing on CNBC and MSNBC.
Combine the two – consumer protection and technology – and you have my new beat: The Internet.
Consider me The Internet Watchdog. For what is happening online these days is like the Wild West. It is the playground of scammers, spammers, hackers, con artists, fraudsters and organized crime syndicates that can unleash data stealing attacks that can cripple corporations and ripoff millions in less time than it takes to read my little profile here.
This site aims at exposing the online criminals and scammers and helping you to protect yourself.
I hope you find it useful and informative. If you have any questions or comments, send them to me at http://theinternetwatchdog/contact
